Particularly when it comes to safety-related aspects of your 964, you should not need to make compromises. Essential to this is a perfectly functioning airbag system.

An important part of this system is the two airbag sensors fitted in the luggage compartment. The original sensors have now been discontinued but after an intensive development phase, Porsche Classic has re-issued the sensor. This ensures that safety-relevant original spare parts are available once again. Furthermore, the passive-mechanical technology of the time has been replaced by a modern electronic version.

What has remained unchanged, however, is the original look. After all, your 964 should not become any less authentic through the use of state-of-the-art technology. And the complete airbag sensor is “Made in Germany”.

All development and approval tests were successfully passed. Of course, this means that the sensor complies with all required safety standards.

The end result for you: a completely new airbag sensor, which is of course compatible with the existing controller. This means that you do not need a new airbag controller or even an update. So you can fully concentrate on the most important thing – driving your 964.
