Porsche Dashcam

The Porsche dash cam is ideal for making video recordings of driving situations and while parking. The camera is operated with the associated app, in which all settings can be made. Recorded videos are stored on the supplied SD card and previous recordings are overwritten. If the dash cam detects a shake/vibration or if the radar sensor is triggered, the recorded video is stored separately and not overwritten. Recordings can be downloaded directly from the SD card or via the app.

The Porsche dash cam can be installed on the windscreen on vehicles without factory preparation. A second Porsche dash cam for the rear window is also available for vehicles with an existing preparation.

"Driving" operating mode:
The Porsche dash cam is ready for use when the engine is started. If a shock occurs, the 10 seconds before the event and the time after the event are stored. The vibration sensor for driving shots on the race track can be deactivated by selecting the "Continuous" setting in the app.

"Park" operating mode:
The dash cam is ready for use in the sleep function while parked. Recording takes place after triggering by the radar sensor or vibration sensor. The duration and scope of the sleep function depends on the vehicle model and equipment. Contact your Porsche Partner for further information.

If the vehicle has a Sport Chrono package and Porsche Connect, the dash cam can also be connected to the Porsche Track Precision app. Recording is optionally carried out via the front and/or rear camera. Compatibility with the Porsche Track Precision app is only available for vehicle models with production date from model year 2022.

Please note: On vehicles with noise and heat protection glazing (order no. VW5/VW6), the strong signal shielding of the vehicle can cause interference with GPS reception and thus cause faulty or non-existent display of position and/or speed. Functional limitations of the radar sensor installed in the dash cam are also possible. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG has no access to the collected data. The installation and permitted use of traffic cameras in your Porsche vehicle may be regulated and/or restricted by local data protection regulations.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, other additional items that are subject to a charge must also be ordered.
